"The Effect of Skin Conductance Levels on Participant Awareness in a Classical Conditioning Experiment"

This study is a secondary data analysis of an experiment that measured awareness in a classical conditioning paradigm. Participants were college students of both sexes, and were measured for physiological arousal before conditioning took place. It was found that, contrary to the hypotheses, participants with higher skin conductance levels and more nonspecific skin conductance responses were less likely to become aware of the relationship between the conditioned and unconditioned stimulus.
